MAKE IT STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
The key to the success of this outcome was getting the colours punchy and vibrant.
For this we used the Sericol-‘Colorjet’ ink system and matched to the artist’s Pantone references.
THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL
The beauty of David’s work is the detail, the more you look at it the more you see. It is made up of tiny fine details that are integral to the overall narrative of the piece. To allow for this detail to print we had to keep the screen open at all times.
Also the registration had to be meticulously tight. Relying on barely a 1pt black keyline for trapping in some places over the other 3 colours.
The resulting 4 colour print, edit. of 50 on GFSmith Colorplan 270gsm stock. (500 x 700 mm) was made available at the open night of David’s - ‘All You’ll Ever Need’ solo show at East Gallery - London. They quickly sold out - however keep checking his store (click button below) for latest works.
